Mashed Potatoes

Truthfully, I limit the fatty ingredients in most of my recipes. You just don't need all that in your food. In many mashed potato recipes you'll see the use of heavy cream, full sticks of butter and full-fat sour cream galore. I just don't believe in that. My mom has showed me that excess fat is purely wasteful calories, and is not essential to delicious taste.

Ingredients: yellow potatoes, milk, salt, whipped butter

First, peel as many potatoes as your heart desires.

Bring a large pot of water to a boil with salt and olive oil. Add your peeled potatoes and put the lid on the pot. Let the potatoes cook until they are penetrable and breakable by a fork. They will be mashed so they must be cooked enough.

Use that thing (whatever it is called) to mash the potatoes into a large bowl.

Add milk to the bowl and stir it about.

For serving, top each dish with some salt and whipped butter according to preference.
